Businesses can now submit claims to the International Register of Damage
On 29 April 2026, the Register of Damage for Ukraine (the “RD4U”, the “Register”) announced the opening of new claim categories for businesses and the State of Ukraine. In addition, on 30 April 2026, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the Convention on the Establishment of the International Claims Commission for Ukraine, marking an important step towards the development of the international compensation mechanism and preparation for the launch of its next stage.
In this article, we focus on the specifics of submitting claims by legal entities to the RD4U under category C3.1 and briefly analyse the content and significance of the Convention on the Establishment of the International Claims Commission.
