EVERLEGAL held a lecture for participants of the SEED 2.0 project of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine
On 27 June, at the invitation of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine, representatives of EVERLEGAL law firm told the participants of the SEED 2.0 agricultural business ideas competition about the most important legal reforms for doing agribusiness.
SEED 2.0 is an educational project of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine, which is supported by PepsiCo and funded by the PepsiCo Foundation. For the second year in a row, the project has been helping to develop small agribusinesses and implement the best business ideas in the agricultural sector. Project participants receive free training on various aspects of doing business, and the best business ideas are awarded grants.
Understanding the basics of legal regulation of economic activity is a necessary component of building a successful enterprise. This topic is extremely important for representatives of small agribusinesses who are currently working on developing their projects in the SEED 2.0 program.
EVERLEGAL, as a Participant of the UN Global Compact and a legal partner of SEED 2.0, has strengthened the educational component of the project with its legal expertise. Thanks to EVERLEGAL, SEED 2.0 participants learned in detail about the following:
- main tax regimes for agribusiness;
- legal aspects of hiring employees;
- peculiarities of legal registration of fixed assets for business activities;
- purchase of goods from persons who do not have the status of individual entrepreneurs.

The UN Global Compact in Ukraine is the Ukrainian network of the world's largest community of responsible businesses. This special initiative of the UN Secretary-General calls on companies to build their operations and strategies in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and based on 10 Principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. The organisation has 22,000 members in 162 countries. The Ukrainian network has 128 members.
