Land Bank 2.0: Challenges and Development Prospects
Land reform in Ukraine is one of the most debated topics in both the economic and legal spheres. The opening of the agricultural land market in July 2021 and the admission of legal entities to the market from 1st January 2024 have been important steps in the right direction.
At the same time, a significant amount of land remains outside the private market circulation, still owned by the state. This is where one of the key issues lies: not the absence of a market as such, but the state’s inability to effectively manage its own assets.
