For a long time, the ESG approach was associated primarily with corporate social responsibility, environmental initiatives, and voluntary non-financial reporting. For Ukrainian businesses, this topic was mainly a matter of reputation, engagement with international partners, or participation in major investment projects.
 
Today, such an understanding of ESG is too narrow. This is particularly relevant for Ukrainian companies, as ESG risks increasingly arise not only from direct regulatory requirements, but also from financing and investment conditions or the requirements imposed by business partners.
