EVERLEGAL team is seeking your support in the election for the position of Co-Chair of the Renewables Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

If elected, I will, in cooperation with other Co-Chairs and members of the Sustainability Committee, work on and advance the following strategic priorities:
1. Enhancing international cooperation: strengthening partnerships with international expert organisations, EU and US institutions, and Ukrainian government agencies to accelerate Ukraine’s alignment with EU Green Deal policies and global ESG standards. This will help to create a transparent, resilient, and future-oriented sustainable business ecosystem in Ukraine, even under the ongoing military challenges.
2. Mobilising sustainable investments into Ukraine: promoting Ukraine as a destination for green and impact investments, including renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, and green infrastructure projects. Special attention will be given to post-war recovery and reconstruction opportunities, including green rebuilding of cities and critical infrastructure.
3. Legislative and regulatory advocacy: working with committee members and other stakeholders to improve Ukraine’s legal and regulatory framework for sustainability, focusing on:- ESG reporting and corporate governance standards;
- green finance instruments (green, social, sustainability-linked bonds);
- sustainable procurement rules; - transparent and fair permitting for renewable and circular projects.
4. Just Transition and social sustainability: developing recommendations and initiatives to support fair workforce transition from traditional sectors (e.g. coal regions) to sustainable industries, ensuring inclusive growth and community resilience.
5. Climate resilience and energy security: fostering initiatives and policy dialogue on climate adaptation, energy efficiency, hydrogen economy, and decentralized energy solutions as integral parts of Ukraine’s long-term energy security strategy.
6. Collaboration and knowledge exchange: increasing the level of engagement among members of the Committee by holding joint initiatives, roundtables, and workshops, as well as developing cross-committee projects to ensure systemic, cross-sectoral progress.
7. Awareness and capacity-building: organising thematic events, trainings, and knowledge-sharing sessions on sustainability, ESG, and green recovery to raise awareness and practical capacities of businesses operating in Ukraine.I promise to bring new energy to the Committee's work and will be grateful for your support. I am confident that the membership will benefit from my experience, collaborative approach, and get-the-job-done attitude.
