EVERLEGAL Partner Taras Ivanenko spoke at the II Legal Anti-Corruption Forum
On 4 December, at the 1st session of the II Legal Anti-Corruption Forum, Taras Ivanenko delivered a speech on "Formalism or compliance with the fundamental principles of anti-corruption proceedings on the way to European integration".
The EVERLEGAL partner emphasised that no public interest can justify the violation of the fundamental principles of justice. Successful fight against corruption requires a stable and predictable judicial system that guarantees equality before the law.
The first session analysed in detail:
- the activities of the High Anti-Corruption Court;
- special attention was paid to the issues of jurisdiction and jurisdiction in criminal proceedings on corruption offences;
- as well as the problem of formalism in court proceedings and its impact on the observance of the fundamental principles of anti-corruption justice.
