On 30 May, MercedesTrophy, one of the world's most prestigious amateur golf tournaments, returned to Ukraine after a seven-year break. The competition took place at Kozyn Golf & Country Club, where the country's strongest golfers competed for the opportunity to represent Ukraine on the international stage.

Taras Ivanenko secured victory in Category A and will represent Ukraine at the World Final of the tournament this autumn.

• Taras Ivanenko was also recognised in the tournament's special Longest Drive category for the longest drive of the competition.
