Nuances of submitting claims to the International Register of Damage under newly opened categories
According to official data from the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, as of March 24, 2025, a total of 161,138 crimes committed by Russian military personnel and their accomplices on the territory of Ukraine have been registered, of which 156,245 are classified as war crimes. These figures are staggering, yet it is clear that due to objective circumstances, they do not even come close to reflecting the full extent of the reality.
In the previous article, we discussed the general nuances of submitting claims to the RD4U by individuals, which are common to all categories, as well as the specific aspects of submitting claims under the three open categories: A2.1 Death of a close family member, A2.2 Disappearance of a close family member, and A3.1 Damage to or destruction of residential immovable property.
On March 19, 2025, RD4U announced the opening of six new claim categories.
