Taras Ivanenko spoke at the III Anti-Corruption Forum of the UAA
On April 11, the III Anti-Corruption Forum took place in Kyiv, organised by the Ukrainian Advocates' Association (UAA).
The first session of the event, "EFFECTIVENESS OF ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICY IN UKRAINE," was dedicated to a deep analysis of the current state of the fight against corruption, evaluating the effectiveness of policies in this area, and identifying urgent challenges.
During the session, the speaker was Taras Ivanenko, partner and head of the anti-corruption practice at EVERLEGAL, who shared insights on how legal uncertainty and judicial practice contribute to abuse of deadlines in anti-corruption cases.
In addition, the speakers discussed:
- The state of the fight against corruption and the most pressing challenges
- Issues related to detecting and fighting unjustified assets
- Trends in the handling of cases in the anti-corruption field
- Key innovations by the Supreme Court in corruption-related criminal cases and their impact on practice
- The defense's perspective: Is the situation really improving?
- Corruption risks in reconstruction projects and ways to minimize them
The session gathered a wide audience of lawyers, judges, representatives of the government and business sectors. All participants received a powerful boost of analytics, practical insights, and motivation for further work in this crucial area for Ukraine.
We are grateful to the UBA for organising the event and to all participants for the active discussion.
