EVERLEGAL at the VIth International Arbitration Readings in Memory of Academician Igor Pobirchenko

On October 10 - 11, the “VI International Arbitration Readings in Memory of Academician I.G. Pobirchenko” conference was held in Kyiv. This year it gathered more than 300 participants and speakers from different countries: the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Turkey, Germany, Norway, Belarus and Ukraine. 

The key topics of the conference were the main principles and basis for effective arbitration and mediation. For two days, speakers from different countries shared their experiences and expert views on the subject.

One of the speakers at the event was Vsevolod Volkov, EVERLEGAL partner and head of International Arbitration practice, who in his presentation discussed the matters connected with the arbitrability of civil-law aspects of privatization disputes, public procurement and protection of economic competition and whether the arbitrators are precluded from considering public-law aspects of those disputes.
