EVERLEGAL Wins Prestigious European Award “FT Innovative Lawyers Awards 2025” in the Category “Innovative Lawyers in Disputes and Crisis Management”
EVERLEGAL has become the only Ukrainian law firm to win the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards in 2025.
In a competition that featured nearly 100 of Europe’s leading law firms, 8 Ukrainian firms advanced to the finals. In the highly competitive category dedicated to innovative approaches in disputes and crisis management, 11 teams from across Europe competed for the award, including 2 firms from Ukraine. EVERLEGAL became the first Ukrainian law firm to secure victory in this nomination.
“This victory is not only ours — it is Ukraine’s. It demonstrates that even in the face of immense challenges, Ukrainian lawyers are shaping the future of law in Europe and beyond,” — commented EVERLEGAL Partner Oleksandr Ruzhytskyi.
Why this matters
- Recognition of innovation: EVERLEGAL earned this victory through bold crisis management solutions, client-centered strategies, and the ability to deliver effective legal outcomes under uncertainty.
- Global competition: The firm won against companies from the most developed jurisdictions worldwide.
- Consistency of results: This marks the second consecutive year EVERLEGAL has reached the FT Innovative Lawyers finals (in 2024 in the category “Innovative Lawyers in Sustainability and ESG”).
EVERLEGAL Counsel Yuliia Tantsiiura, who worked on the award-winning case:
“This project was not only a personal challenge but also an opportunity to prove that innovation in law means concrete tools to support clients. I am proud of our team — fighting for what we truly believe in is one of the core values that led us to this victory!”
EVERLEGAL Managing Partner Yevheniy Deyneko:
“For me, this award is a clear demonstration that close cooperation between a client’s legal team and external advisors, grounded in trust, can deliver positive results even in cases where established court practice is contrary to the client’s position. Moreover, this case, which lasted for two years and ended with a victory for the client, vividly illustrates the importance of managing client expectations and preparing them for a marathon rather than a sprint.
It also highlights the significance for lawyers of assessing legal trends and identifying opportunities to shift court practice in favor of the client (in our case – also in favor of a broad circle of foreign investors). We are truly delighted for our client and grateful to the Financial Times for recognizing our joint efforts. I am proud that the Ukrainian legal market can confidently compete with international legal giants. I see this award not only as our victory but also as a compliment and recognition for all our colleagues in the Ukrainian legal services market”.
