Yesterday, the IV WHITE-COLLAR CRIME FORUM, organised by the publishing house “Yurydychna Praktyka”, took place in Kyiv. The first session of the event focused on discussing new challenges in the field of White-Collar Crime.
Taras Ivanenko, Partner at EVERLEGAL, Attorney-at-Law, Ph.D. in Law, delivered a presentation on the evolution of White-Collar Crime practice. The presentation was based on specific cases from the current practice of the High Anti-Corruption Court, including cases concerning the destruction of video recordings of searches, procedural silence following the prolonged retention of seized assets, and the stagnation of judicial oversight through the prism of the current case law of the European Court of Human Rights. In his view, these examples demonstrate the stagnation of judicial oversight.

As part of the forum, Taras Ivanenko also moderated an open interview with Viktor Dubovyk, Director General of the Directorate for Legal Policy of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The EVERLEGAL partner framed the discussion as a conversation on the “roadmap” for rule of law reforms and the state of the judicial system as of early 2026, and invited the speaker to explain the Directorate’s powers and their connection to the development and implementation of this strategic document.
