"I am a partner at EVERLEGAL, a leading Ukrainian law firm with a special focus on sustainable impact projects, including large-scale renewables projects. I am also a co-head of Energy and Natural Resources practice at EVERLEGAL.
My professional expertise extends through the areas of corporate and M&A, banking & finance, and legislative drafting & advocacy, with a special focus on project development (particularly solar, wind and hydro power generation projects). I have over 15 years of professional experience gained at Ukraine's leading domestic and international law firms. Prior to joining EVERLEGAL, I was a senior associate at Clifford Chance law firm, where I worked in the firm's New York, London, and Kyiv offices.
If elected, I will, in cooperation with other Co-Chairs and members of the Chamber Distributed Generation Committee, work on and advance the following directions:
1. Improving the regulatory environment. I will work to promote transparent, stable, and predictable rules for the development of distributed generation through constructive dialogue with the Regulator, profile Ministries, and Parliament, particularly with regard to simplifying grid connection procedures, removing barriers for investors, and strengthening the institutional capacity of the state to support such projects.
2. Accelerating the deployment of decentralized energy solutions. I will support the implementation of local generation sources and modern energy solutions for businesses, communities, and critical infrastructure, thereby enhancing the resilience of Ukraine’s power system in the face of wartime risks and future reconstruction needs.
3. Attracting investment and financing. My goal is to help create conditions for a strong inflow of private and international capital into the distributed generation sector, including cooperation with international financial institutions, donors, and commercial banks to enable scalable yet rapidly deployable projects.
4. Advancing energy storage and flexibility solutions. I will support the development of a market for energy storage systems and other flexible capacities that are essential for integrating distributed generation and ensuring stable operation of the power system.
5. Strengthening cooperation among business, government, and Committee members. I will strive to make the Committee an effective platform for knowledge exchange, development of common business positions, and implementation of practical initiatives, while enhancing cooperation with other AmCham committees and key stakeholders across the energy sector.
With over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, investment projects, financing, and regulatory work, I aim to contribute to the rapid development of distributed generation as one of the key pillars of Ukraine’s energy security, resilience, and economic recovery.
