Seven evenings of theatre at UNIT.City: how Theatre Week ‘7’ unfolded in partnership with EVERLEGAL
From 26 August to 1 September, UNIT.City innovation park hosted Theatre Week ‘7’, bringing seven productions by Ukrainian theatres to audiences over seven evenings. EVERLEGAL traditionally supported the project as a partner.
This year’s programme brought together a variety of formats and genres. Audiences saw Ukrainian and international classics, including "Cassandra", "Lymeryvna" and "Lord of the Flies", "The Cripple of Inishmaan", psychological thriller such as "I See You Are Interested in Darkness" and , as well as a performance by Schmalgauzen. A special place in the programme was given to "Eneida" by the Veterans’ Theatre, featuring serving military personnel and veterans.
Despite constant concerns and changes to the schedule, the festival went ahead and brought together thousands of visitors.
“We hope these seven evenings gave some people a chance to pause and recharge, gave others the strength to keep going, and helped others feel something again. And perhaps they made all of us just a little bit better,” the UNIT.City team shared in its closing post.
For EVERLEGAL, the partnership was an opportunity to support Kyiv’s vibrant cultural scene. Watching the performances together offered a welcome break from the pressures of everyday life and brought our clients, partners and team together in a friendly and informal setting.
