EVERLEGAL Counsel moderated a session at the III Agri Law Forum in Vinnytsia
On March 21, the III Agrarian Law Forum was held in Vinnytsia, organised by the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA).
The main focus of the event was legislative changes, court practice, and export challenges. Participants discussed the regulation of agrarian legal relations, legal support for agribusiness, and risk minimization strategies.
The moderator of the first session, "Top Topics for Agribusiness," was Svitlana Teteria, Counsel and Head of the Agrarian Law Practice at EVERLEGAL.
Key discussion topics included:
- Recent changes in land legislation
- Functioning of the cadastre and prospects for its improvement
- Challenges of adapting agribusiness to EU requirements
- Repeal of the Commercial Code – implications for the sector
- ESG strategies in agribusiness
"Summing up our discussion and the work of the forum as a whole, I can say that despite all the challenges caused by Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine’s agricultural sector continues to move forward. We see how the Parliament and the Government do significant work each year to harmonize legislation with EU law, improve legal regulation and public services, how agribusiness is developing, and how the export of Ukrainian agricultural products is growing despite all the difficulties. It is important that the Forum brings together more and more legal professionals from the agro sector every year, creating a platform to discuss key changes, challenges, and opportunities for the agricultural sector," noted Svitlana Teteria.
