EVERLEGAL - legal advisor of Global Communities in Ukraine
We are delighted to announce that EVERLEGAL is acting as the legal partner of Global Communities, an international organisation actively engaged in Ukraine to meet critical humanitarian needs of Ukrainians during the war.
The EVERLEGAL team provides comprehensive legal support to Global Communities on a wide range of legal issues arising in the activities of the international organisation in Ukraine. The legal team of 9 lawyers is involved in this work under the leadership of Managing Partner Yevheniy Deyneko, Partner Andriy Porayko, and Project Manager Daria Kravets.
Briefly about Global Communities
The organisation has been pursuing its humanitarian mission in Ukraine for over 6 years, working directly with local authorities and civil society organisations to meet critical humanitarian needs of Ukrainians.
As of today, Global Communities has procured and organised the delivery of humanitarian shipments totaling over 1 million US dollars for internally displaced persons in Ukraine. Whenever possible, the organisation priorities purchasing goods from Ukrainian manufacturers and sellers who continue to operate in Ukraine directly or remotely from neighboring countries.
In addition to direct procurement, Global Communities has established relationships with 100 local self-government bodies across Ukraine, local NGOs, and other international organisations. As a result, western Ukrainian communities established communication with those in the east who needed assistance, sending goods and providing direct food or financial aid to support the population.
Global Communities continues to monitor the needs of communities on an ongoing basis, fostering these connections and planning future assistance.
The legal support of an international organisation that helps Ukrainians in challenging times is of great importance to EVERLEGAL as a responsible business in Ukraine and a company actively supporting Sustainable Development.Our work on this project is another step towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically:
